ok thanx.. so now i know why the 1st 3 settings for my a/c fan blower motor speed doesn’t work. so to my understanding all i need to do is replace or recreate that resistor(s) to make all my speed settings work? if so where is this resistor(s) located exactly? in the switch console itself or on the actual motor or along the wire harness?
~i’m thinkin of going to radio shack & getting some cheaper similiar resistor(s) and just re-soldering the circuits… no more then $10 and 30min give or take….
You will not find the proper resistors at Radio Shack. Theirs can not carry the amp loading of the blower motor. You can go to a local salvage yard and find a resistor pack from a car like yours. Most salvage yards will guarantee that it will work. I picked one up for my van for $15.00.
